Urban Dream Brokerage

With help from the Urban Dream Brokerage we took over a dis-used space in the Reading Complex on Courtenay place. In just 3 weeks we had over 4,000 visitors through our doors and amassed creations from people of all different ages, cultures, backgrounds and crafty abilities!

The aim was to bring some spark and fun to the people of Wellington city by offering an open, friendly and accessible space where everyone felt as though they were a collaborator. No matter how big or small their contribution, people were welcomed in to explore, create and express themselves.

We had families spend a full day creating together, couples ditching their movie date to spend a few hours making, teenagers mucking about on a Friday night and people who just came in off the street for a few minutes during their lunch hour to see what all the fuss was about. There were hours of play, countless rolls of packing tape and uncountable laughs and smiles. Which is how life should be!

If only every town had a permanent IMAGINARIUM......
